The Charleston community is hands down a testament to all that is love, strength and resilience. It is a community that has proven time and time again that grace and charm is more than just a shiny jewel that attracts people from all over the country, but the unique gem that keeps this community alive and thriving.
And inspired by the examples set by our friends and neighbors, our philosophy is that our business too should benefit a community just as much as it benefits from one. As a part of being a B Corporation, we at Wild Blue Ropes have proudly joined a growing community from 33 countries and over 60 industries working together towards one unifying goal – to redefine success is business.
Climb for a Causewas our summer 2015 initiative to give back to the local non-profits that our company and employees hold near and dear to our hearts, donating a percent of every challenge pass purchased to specific Lowcountry organizations.
In support of the recovery of Caitlyn the dog, we kicked off our first climb benefitting the Charleston Animal Society. Other Climb for a Cause beneficiaries included Mother Emanuel AME, Lowcountry Local First, Sea Islands Chamber of Commerce, Reading Partners of Charleston, Ronald McDonald House Charleston, One80 Place, Lowcountry Food Bank, Center for Woman and Yes Carolina.
I personally enjoy working at a company who values the importance of serving others, helps employees to find fulfillment in their jobs, and a greater purpose in their lives. As a proud local Charleston Business and B Corp member – we encourage all companies to compete not to just be the best in the world, but to do the best for the world.
